Died and gone to heaven.

So...I absolutely positively love the set of William Sonoma dishes and cups, and saucers, etc...Janice gave George and me. I feel blessed. Ah...I can't wait to find our new home. Right now, my babe is shooting some people. I usually don't like him playing vid-games but he so deserves it right now. I've never seen anyone work as hard as he does. It shows how great of a human being he is, and how lucky I am to be with him. *sigh*

So, I have to whine a little. It's just lately I've been reading a lot of people's blogs talking bout how vegan is great. And vegan is the way to go. And having to make sure that everyone who reads their blogs knows that they are vegan and nothing less. Well, man! I adore a lot of people who are vegan, don't get me wrong. But jeez! Get off your high horse and stop making non-vegans feel bad. I enjoy eating my meat. I just do. But it doesn't mean I don't care about the Earth and animals as much as you do.

I'm sorry. This probably makes me come off a bit sardonic, and I don't mean to be. It's just been a tiring last couple of weeks, and will probably continue to be a tiring summer. I actually admire all you veganers and am jealous of the fact that you all have that kind of discipline because I sure don't.

I can't wait to cook with all of our new kitchen-ware. I can't wait to cook for my babes who is so deserving of it!

All we can do is keep breathing...

Here is the little video ditty, I made. Yay, it's up. Hurrah for moi!

I hope you all enjoy it!

I don't mind...

Hey, I like vintage! Vintage People. Vintage Clothes. Vintage tea towels? Of course! Why not?! That's the one thing I'm really loving about this move. Janice has so much stuff that she's practically giving it all to us. And she does not give us crap stuff either-she gives us super hip, super nice, super vintage (hello?!) things for our new home! Ah! Our new home. It's a comin'. We've got a lot of cool schtuff. And therefore-I am pleased as punch.

Today was Josie's birthday. She turned 23. Every time I celebrate Josie's birthday, I end up with the feeling of bittersweet-ness when it comes to my birthday. Happy that it's in less than three months, but also a tad bit upset that I'm getting older. I like the year I've had so far. I don't know how exactly I'm going to feel about turning 23. But anyway--we went to this lovely restaurant in Westwood called Sawtelle's Kitchen. It's Japanese/Italian. Weird, I know. But surprising lovely. Everything about it was spot on-the food, the help, the decor. It was easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in quite a long time.

So Beard Papa's...I don't know if you heard of the lovely Beard Papa's fresh and natural cream puffs. If you haven't-you are surely missing out because they are divine. They come in three flavors-vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I got chocolate, because I am a chocolate fiend! It was yummay!!!

I'm the only sour cherry on your fruit stand!

That's what it certainly feels like.

I absolutely HATE it when my friends are mad at me. No matter who's fault it is, I always end up being the one to cower and call/write/etc...first. I just really care about my all of my friends, and it just hurts a lot not knowing anything at the moment. All I can do is sit and wait to see if they will respond to any of the things I've done to make things better. For the most part, I don't think I should be getting punished for something completely understandable. I'm sure to most of you (who are we kidding-to the two of you) who are reading this-you have absolutely no clue as to what I'm talking about. I don't even know if the person this is for reads my blog...but whatever-sometimes, I just need to get it out.

The video from the concert is still not finished. In fact, I haven't even started. The past couple of days, I've been hard at work. We have been packing up a storm, just getting ready for the big show. I'm not complaining. It's just not fun to have do this twice in one summer. I just am not looking forward to it. I am however looking forward to finally moving into our new home, George and I. We're just as excited as can be for that moment to arrive. But for right now, we're just taking things one day at a time.

So, that's all for now. I just really want to eat some more cookies. I bought a bag of these chewy, chunky, chocolate chip cookies from Trader Joes (God Bless them) and they are uh-maze-ing! Pretty schnazzy. Alright-time to go fatten meself up.

***Update***It has been settled. And I am glad for it. :)

A Quickie

You dirty people with your dirty minds! Pshaw. You must've thought this blog post would be about something else we shall not speak of in public arenas. But it isn't. I'm basically (Geo hates it when I use that word too often so I'm going to try and use it just once in this post) using that as the title of my blog entry, because I have to make it short and sweet. There is a lot of work that needs to be done. The last thing I should be doing is sitting here blogging. Even though that is all I want to do. :P

Anyway, long story short...

Last night was probably the best and quite possibly the most star-struck I've ever been. And I don't usually get star-struck. I told myself even if I saw Russell Crowe or Robert Downey Jr. walking down the street, I wouldn't run over and jump on them (even if my mind is saying "GO FOR IT!") The last thing I want them to remember about me (especially since my future lies in the entertainment industry) is my being that girl. You know the one...

***Super Fast*** "Omg! Like you are sooooo amazing, and like I cannot even believe, like, you are standing right in front of me, like omg-this is the best day of my life, like!"

Don't worry, I wasn't anywhere near that. But I was pretty close. My friend Alli had this extra ticket to go see Ingrid Michaelson at the El Rey in LA. And of course, I was going to go-it's Ingrid Michaelson. So there we were, first people in line, standing right in front of the stage-close enough to touch her close. Well afterward, Alli wanted to wait to maybe have her come out and take a picture with us. 15 minutes later, lo and behold-out comes Ingrid Michaelson with Katharine McPhee! Something you need to understand about me. I have loved Katharine McPhee since she was on American Idol. If I could have her career I absolutely would take it-in a heartbeat! Are you kidding me?! Not only is she so incredibly beautiful. But she was also really tall and really super sweet. Two very rare qualities from up and comers if you ask me. As you may well have guessed-I acted like a total LOSER in front of her, stammering up a storm. Blah Blah Blah!!! And, we were all set and posed to take a picture, when my camera died. It died! I was mortified to say the least.

And yes...she does look this gorgeous in person. Perhaps even more so.

Pics and vids from the evening will be coming soon to a blog entry near you.

Later blogopeeps!

I give up!

At my attempt to be cool and Katy Perry-esque of doing video-blogs as opposed to regular writing-I failed...miserably. I'm pissed. P-I-S-S-E-D! I recorded a long blog of me just babbling away about how great my day was, and stupid mac photobooth only recorded like 50 seconds of it. I don't even know what the duration time is for those things, because it seems to vary. And then, I go to Apple support, which shouldn't even be called Apple support-because they don't. Apparently many people have been having the same problem I've been having. And you know what they're solution is? To record on imovie instead of photobooth. Whoopee!

So this is what ended up recording...blech!

Boo on photobooth video!!! from Elaine Nuguid on Vimeo.

What you didn't see on the video is that, I had a great day. Awesome in fact. Kate and I went to the Huntington Library to explore. We did girly things, took lots of pictures, gabbed, ate a lot, and took more pictures. Twas all-around goodness!

Anyway. Hot day. Hot in both senses of the word. And now I'm starving...which will have to wait till 10pm. Because beau-friend is bringing home din-din, and that's when he comes home. Boo!

Sex and the City

I have watched it 4 times now. Once in the movie theatre, and 3 times with streaming video (crappy quality and all) and still I just can't get enough. I absolutely love everything that the show represents- women who are strong, have incredible careers, are passionate about sex, have amazing fashion sense, and who still love being in love.

And to think, I never even used to like Sarah Jessica Parker. Now...well. :)

P.S. Yes, when I get married...I too will have a bird in my hair.

This is insane...

I've turned into a blogging fiend. Hi-Hi, Blogspot! I've returned. So. This is my last...absolute last, attempt at making a blog and actually sticking to it. If I happen to leave you blogspot-then I am oh so sorry, for I am a lame sauce who can't decide. Fair enough?

Okay, so I started blogging a couple of days ago at this new blogosphere I heard about from Katy Perry. Yeah, she and I talk quite a bit. Just Kidding. I'm actually a fan of her blog, and she uses this place called Tumblr. Yeah. Don't know where the name comes from but whatever. So, I thought, why not start a whole new blog. But then...dun dun dun. It was so difficult for me to use. I wanted to personalize my blog, and have it look like well, me. But all the themes I was looking at was not doing it for me. So, I quit. I quit. Just like that. After a mere 3 days. I think that's an all-time record for me. So I've decided to return to blogspot. You should be so lucky.

Anyway-here's the link for my stuff on Tumblr.

Check it out. I'm awesome. Not really.
