Yesterday was a vintage kimono kind of day. I was feeling quite exhilarated by the fact that I was finally seeing Siera and Danielle, after what seemed like months of not being able to-because of you know, life. But yesterday afternoon, the 3 of us met up, had lunch and it was grand. It's always nice when we're together. We hadn't done anything since last fall, so it was about time. But this vintage kimono, which was given to me by my mother-in-law is actually one of my most prized possessions. I love the way it hangs loosely for a more bohemian vibe. And I love that it has nice, deep, pockets for when I get chilly. It's just one of those perfect, "throw overs", sitting in my closet. I felt like it was the right time to finally wear it. :) And according to WhoWhatWear, apparently I'm right on target, with this one...

For my curious readers...I will answer all of your unanswered questions.
So go ahead...

Geo and I thought it would be fun to change things up a bit yesterday and take public transportation into Burbank. We were meeting up with the fam-bam to see Shutter Island, which I'll get to in a second. And the trip wasn't bad at all. In fact it was only one bus, it took 40 minutes to get there, and it dropped off us right in front of the movie theatre. How convenient!

Shutter Island was absolutely amazing. I can't express enough how wonderful Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio are together. I mean, the film was so trippy but in a good way. And DiCaprio is becoming more and more of a better actor with every movie he makes. Especially when the two of them team up. He's astonishing to watch. This is definitely one worth watching. The movie I'll probably be seeing next is Alice in Wonderland. Best and I are going to get tickets soon, because well, we're sort of obsessed. I am so so excited for March 5th!

Sorry my outfits have been slightly boring lately...I tend to live in jeans, moto boots, and my leather jacket. So, hopefully soon, I'll find an excuse to dress up a little more. :)

Here to stay

Amanda Seyfried Icons <3

The new girl crush. I mean, really...Amanda Seyfried is seriously stunning. I've also had her song "Little House" on constant repeat. So, explanation? Ever since Kate and I saw Dear John last weekend, I was hooked. We both were. As far as the movie goes, nothing will ever beat The Notebook in my opinion (and Rachel McAdams will forever be my acting hero because of that film), but Dear John was immensely satisfying. I thought she and Channing Tatum had a really great natural chemistry, and even HE surprised me-acting wise. So, I would definitely recommend this movie. Anyway, I just thought I'd share.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

The first picture is for the Forever Sweetheart contest over on Chictopia. I'm going to enter for a chance to win a gift card to F21. So that should be fun. Obviously I wish it was still daylight when I took this outfit picture, but we didn't make it.
However, yesterday was the best day I've had in a long time. In the Nuguid/Ackles household, Valentine's Day is usually meant to be every day. But this was the first year we actually made an effort to plan something. If you had our schedules, you'd understand...we hardly get a chance to see each other lately, with how busy he is. I don't like his new schedule at all-but it's just something I have to adjust to. So last night, we finally saw Avatar...FINALLY! And I was completely blown away. We both were...surprisingly. I thought it was probably one of the greatest films I've ever seen, in my entire life. Yeah, it was spectacular. Afterward, we headed over to Pasadena and got sushi at our favorite restaurant, Sushi of Naples. I've spoken of them many times on the good 'ole blog. But it really was the greatest night. I always have a good time when we're together.

I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine's Day. xoxo

RIP Alexander McQueen

One of the most inventive and innovative designers of all time. You will be missed.

In other news...an outfit post, sorta. A half-assed outfit post, because I was feeling lazy. It wasn't that interesting anyway, because I just wore the usual black skinnies with my moto boots. But hubs kept telling me how beautiful I looked (blushes) so I thought I'd share. I'm so proud of my honey for being an all-around talented guy. I was beyond amazed by how brilliant his lighting design for Polaroid Stories came out. I feel like he can do anything.

These were shot by my sissy's blackberry. Who would've known a tiny camera phone would be able to take such clear photos? Anyway, my weekend was spent with the fambam-which is always nice, because I rarely get to see them. Especially my sister. But yesterday we went to my cousin's baby shower, which was good, because we got to watch the Superbowl on their big screen tv. I just stuffed my face with cupcakes the whole time. They were so yummy! Makes me want one real bad right now. Lol! So much for my recent health kick.

Since Valentine's day is only a week away, I wanted to post a little love snack for all of you...

Alli was kind enough to take me to my meeting yesterday. I'm not going to say a lot about it, because well, I can't. But I think it went quite well. One of the producers even went far enough to tell me that no matter what, she would make things happen for me. So, that definitely sounds promising. As far as the whole no car situation, and having to go to Westwood a couple more times by the end of it-seems a little daunting to me. But we shall see...
There was this really cool wall that Alli discovered on her walk whilst waiting for me. I was happy she found it because we got to utilize it for some pictures. I had a great time with her as always, and was extremely happy to be out of the house...

Am I gonna be alright?

headshot

My current headshot, isn't even really my headshot. I got headshots done last summer with this extremely kind woman, named Mary Ann Halpin. I liked the way it turned out, but unfortunately the pictures just don't look like me anymore. I'll still use them for distribution purposes because I don't want to waste the money and time I spent getting them. But I'm pretty sure I should get new ones in the future. So for now, this should suffice. This came from a photo shoot I did with the lovely Danielle Palomares in 2008. Luckily, this looks more like me than my most recent headshots-so I figured why not?
Just spent the last 4 hours getting myself prepared to start my acting career. It's sort of been put on the back-burner for awhile now, because of certain life-altering situations...but I'm ready. I feel like I've waited long enough. If all goes well, I should have an audition for an original musical this week. Crossing fingers.
