Oh, Simple Things-where have you gone?

Best Dressed Emmy's 2010

5.) Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera- A lot of people are saying it's too Scarlett O'Hara, but I happen to love Gone With the Wind, so I find this dress completely breathtaking. And she looks so stunning. Seriously, look at that face!

4.) Claire Danes in Armani Prive-She's literally glowing. I was so happy for her last night for her win. She's never looked better, in my opinion.

3.) Emily Blunt in Christian Dior- Again, I think many people would disagree with this choice, because I've heard it's a little drab. I love lilac/lavender and I think it looks gorgeous against her skin tone. Plus, the flower detailing makes it more unique.

2.) Nina Dobrev in Zuhair Murad-I'm not usually a fan of Dobrev's red carpet choices, but this one has definitely changed my mind. She looks exquisite. And I love the crinkled texture of the dress.

1.) January Jones in Atelier Versace-Oh January...I feel like I should write a song in your honor. Not only has she been my top lady a couple times now on the blog, but when I first saw her last night-my heart literally stopped. She looks to die for. And the fact that she picked such a bright, structured dress, in a sea of softer/nude silhouettes-it definitely speaks volumes.

Hope you enjoyed another Lainey's best dressed list. xoxo

The hub and I trekked over to Griffith Park once again, to see more Shakespeare. Only this time it was Much Ado About Nothing. Such a great comedy, with amazing actors all around. I wonder if Melissa Chalsma knows just HOW good she is. I will forever strive to be as wonderful and magnanimous of a performer as she is.
Fall is a comin' so this will probably be the first and last time I'll wear this little romper this year. But if next summer is just as hot as it is this year-you better believe this thing will get lots of use. ;)

My idea of a perfect Sunday equals me spending the early morning/afternoon at the Melrose Trading Post and then having some lunch at Lemonade. As you can imagine, it was extremely crowded and extremely hot. I wish I could've taken more pictures, but I looked like such a hot mess that I refused to be taken photos of. Such as it is, Kristina, Kirstie and I got some really great, unique things while we there. And I was able to take a couple snaps of my outfit when I got home. :)

P.S. I accidentally changed the layout of my blog, and I absolutely hate it. And now I can't revert back to the way it used to be. Does anyone know how to center a header?

Just your typical day at the office...

When I open I usually have a lot of time to kill. I get bored, so I dance, sing, pretty much anything I want in our cute little store. This was one of those days. Just thought I'd give you guys a sneak peek. :)

Me and my sister being dorks waiting for our party to get called for some SUSHI! I love my sister's sense of style. So effortless, and yet so put together at the same time.

Ok, so story about my new Sam Edelman clogs...I've been dreaming about these clogs for awhile now. Like literally DREAMING, but I knew I couldn't afford the $150 price tag, so I sighed, called it a day, and sort of gave up. Then during one of my breaks, I walked into Bloomingdales and saw them on the clearance rack. Not only were they on sale, but there was an additional 50% off the marked price. I ended up getting them for $49.99. I couldn't believe myself. So lucky. I feel like they were just waiting for me. :)

Talk all the talk with a Poet's style...

Well, Emma Watson chopped all of her hair. I'm still getting used to this bold look for her, because I thought she looked so beautiful with long hair. But, I think her decision for doing it was very wise. Now that the Harry Potter films are finito (well almost-they're done shooting, anyway), I'm sure she wanted to re-invent herself and look more mature and grown up and chic. And I think she established that with this haircut. Can't wait to see her at the premieres, and I'm excited to see how she styles it in general.

It brings back memories of when I chopped off all of my hair. I was the same age as Emma (20), and it was during one of the best moments of my life. I was falling in love with a boy (a boy named George-who eventually became my everything <3) and I felt so daring and liberated. I was a risk-taker who didn't have a care in the world of what others thought of me. Sometimes, I miss those days. Don't get me wrong-I think I grew into who I am today pretty nicely, but once in awhile I like to look back at my pictures and feel proud that I had the guts to do it.

Saturday night we gathered at Griffith Park for an evening of theatre under the stars. Seeing Shakespeare (done well) is like eating an amazing red velvet cake...slowly. It just gets better and better with each bite/scene. And my former professor/acting coach Melissa Chalsma who co-owns the Independent Shakespeare Company here in LA-also directed the show (Othello). If any of you love Shakespeare, and love to be entertained, whilst eating and drinking-you have to check this out. Next up for the month-Much Ado About Nothing. *Sigh* I miss performing. I wanted more than anything- to be up there on that stage alongside all of those talented people.
