Time still exists

I took these in Studio City this morning. I figured I haven't done a full blown outfit post in a long time, and I felt kinda cute today so here they are. Sorry for the grainy quality, I kinda had to go rogue with this session. As always life has taken me for a roller-coaster ride...it's been a really stressful month for me and Geo. I just hope July brings me more joy and ease. Good news is, I get to see my best friend for the 4th. I haven't seen/hung out with her in over a month, so it's definitely much needed.
I hope you all have an amazing weekend. xoxo

These 3 women are a constant inspiration to me when it comes to personal style. You all should definitely check out their blogs, if you haven't already heard of them. I promise you that once you visit-you'll be hooked.
I hope you have a beautiful day! :-)

For Father's Day this year, we decided to spend the day at Universal Studios! I haven't been to a theme park in 4 years, and I haven't been to this particular one since I was in high school. It was nice that the whole family got a chance to be together, including my cousin Andrea who is visiting from the Philippines. It was such a pleasant day too as far as the weather goes, and I was able to rock my comfy Freddy Kruger sweater all day long!
My favorite ride of the day was the Simpsons ride. I thought I would miss the Back to the Future ride, but I thought the Simpsons was a nice replacement.
We ended the night with amazing food at Camacho's and my dad really loved my present. Can you tell by his face in the last picture? I love you Pop, I hope you had a beautiful day!

There's a fire starting in my heart

This was just one of those relaxing, beautiful, incredibly peaceful days you recall when other things in your life are not necessarily working out as planned. This was last Monday, when the Husb and I went to Burbank to see Super 8 (which I highly recommend btw) and shop. Well, I really didn't do much shopping, but the boy got a lot of amazing things including this beautiful navy, military jacket from Wasteland (pictured above). It was the most perfect buy of the day. Afterward, we went to Ikea to pick up a few things for our home-which reminded me that I'm still in major need of a dresser. Right now I'm still living out of boxes and bags-which is embarrassing to admit considering we've been in our place for 6 months now. But such is life...
We ended the evening with a romantic dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Star Cafe in Montrose. I think I was squeeing the whole ride there, because I had no idea Geo had planned that for us. We hadn't been there since we first started dating which was literally like 4 years ago. So it was definitely a wonderful end to an already wonderful day. I couldn't have asked for more.

A couple days ago, I had a photo session with one of my favorite photographers-Danielle Palomares. I feel like, aside from my hubby, she's the only person I trust to take a good photo of me. She has the most amazing eye, and always captures me in the best light. None of these pics were taken in a studio with fancy flashes. They were all taken outdoors, in natural lighting, in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. I'm always so satisfied with every shoot I do with her. I can't wait to start using these professionally. Thanks Danielle!

Every word you say I think I should write down...

June 4th, 1977
A beautiful cherubin baby was born...who eventually grew up to be an incredibly handsome and talented man...who eventually made me the happiest woman on the planet.
We celebrated my babe's birthday with simplicity this year by going to our beloved Old Town Pasadena and basically just hanging out.
Finally got a chance to see The Hangover II, which I have to admit-we were both extremely disappointed about. It was exactly the same as the first-to a T. Every single beat was the same, even the ending had no twist. But I have to say my adoration for Zach Galifianakis will never cease. He's wonderfully funny and brilliant.
After that we did a little shopping, had cupcakes from my favorite DotsCupcakes, and chai lattes at Intelligentsia. It was a perfect afternoon, which ended with a super romantic dinner at our favorite Japanese restaurant Sushi of Naples.
Happy Birthday Baby. I hope you had a wonderful day! Xo
