These past two days have been the best in a long while. We celebrated my Dad's birthday with an amazing lunch at Buddha's Belly in Hollywood, followed by a leisurely stroll around The Grove and Farmer's Market. Family time is always important for me, and I'm especially taking full advantage of it before I start my new job next week. We ended the day with froyo and So You Think You Can Dance. It's always the little things that induce the most happiness.
Tradition is also very important. So we braved the crowds and the countless screaming teens, to camp out at the theatre in my hometown, to see the final installment of the series that changed my life. My family and I have done this for every movie apart from one, due to my sister being in Santa Cruz last November for Deathly Hallows Part I. And every time it's incredibly stressful, but incredibly fulfilling as soon as we're in our seats and the Warner Bros. logo pops up on screen. The energy is palpable and uncontainable, and a completely different feeling seeing it with diehard fans. All I can say is, the film could not have ended in a more perfect way. I felt a satisfaction that I haven't felt from any movie I've seen.  It's a huge part of my life, and probably always will be. I hope you all enjoy it just as much I did.

PREMIERE

United Kingdom vs. North America

I love each look, and I'm loving the whole light and dark theme Emma Watson has been working lately. Although, I'm partial to the UK premiere a little more because I feel like soft suits her features way better, but I also love how risque and sexy she looks at the NYC premiere. Either way, Emma Watson is a stunner who can pretty much pull off anything. I can't wait to see what other looks she'll rock for the promotional tour.

This picture pretty much sums up my feelings on the fact that 12 years of my life is finally coming to an end on July 15th. There are absolutely no words to describe the amount of tears that will be shed that day. The anticipation and the dread is killing me. xoxo

In honor of starting a new job on the 19th with an amazing jewelry company, I decided to reward myself with something pretty. And no, my new job is not with Jewelmint. However, I have been eyeing the "Eros" earrings for quite some time now, and luckily for me they put it back in stock for those of us who couldn't have it the first go-around. I have never ordered and received anything so fast, and considering the shipping was free and ground-it was a total shock to find it in my mailbox in 4 days. Presentation was beautiful. Came in a mint colored box the size of my hand, with a ribbon tied around it. And inside were the earrings that I've been dying to own for months, along with a "note" from Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter (owners of Jewelmint) thanking me for my purchase and hoping I enjoy them. I have been wearing them constantly. Even when I'm just lounging in my apartment. They're just as beautiful in real life as they are in pictures. The craftsmanship is outstanding and has a very romantic but edgy look about them. My one gripe though? It's not a pair of earrings you can wear all day, unless you want your ears looking like a tomato. They're very very heavy, and can often cause discomfort to my delicate ears. Perhaps I'll get used to them.
All in all, Jewelmint is a fabulous jewelry company and I cannot wait to order from them again. I'll be posting pics of me wearing the earrings very soon. :)

Just a smattering of pictures from my 4th of July weekend. On Saturday, I spent the day at the Americana with the fambam. We had a wonderful dinner at the Cheesecake Factory followed by dessert at one of my favorite cupcakeries in LA-Crumbs. It was a quintessential summer day.
To celebrate our independence, I went over to my best friend's house for a small bbq. The evening was filled with lots of laughs, love, music (by The Absolute) and lots and lots of food. Also, thanks to Kate's mom-I've discovered a renewed obsession with Merengue cookies.  I NEED a good recipe pronto, so I can whip 'em up all summer long. I've gotten so many compliments on my flag tank lately...funny story, I actually got the tank for $10 at Forever 21 about a month ago. But it was too pristine for me, so my husb dyed, distressed, bleached, spray painted and wrinkled the hell out of it, and voila! The pictures don't even do it justice, it looks so amazing in person.
I hope you all had a very eventful and fun holiday weekend!
