Today was SUCH a beautiful day in the City of Angels. Not too cold, not too hot-it was perfect. Not to mention, today we were inspired by the Tim Burton exhibit at LACMA! We both had been wanting to go since we first heard of it back in March. And of course, we had to leave it for the very last week before it ends. Still, it was truly worth the wait. I was so in awe of how talented he is, from his sketches to his movies, to his notes--it definitely was a wake up call for my artistic soul. Hopefully it has given me enough of a jolt to get creative very soon.

P.S. Still can't get over the fact that all of these pictures were taken with my phone. It pretty much compares to the SLR we have.

Is everyone ready for Halloween? I am!

I surprised my folks today by driving to my hometown to take 'em out for lunch. My mom recently went to the doctor and found out she has this thing that prevents her from touching other people. Thank God its curable, because that would just be the most awful thing-not being able to touch anyone forever? That would be hell. But it's only for a couple weeks, and I thought it would cheer her up to see me. The not hugging part was tough though. Anyway, we went to this new gastropub that just opened up in old town, and it was decked out it in Halloween decor. This made me stress about the holiday a little, because it's coming up so fast...and I still have no clue what to be or what we're doing. So I think I have to get on that-2 more weeks!

In other news, I finally got an iPhone-the new 4s, that has artificial intelligence and takes better photos than my regular camera. I took my outfit shots today with it, and they turned out amazing. I probably won't need to bring my camera with me ever again. Less to carry, yay!

I really hope this week goes by fast and smooth. Really looking forward to next Monday! Xoxo

Things have been great. As great as they can be lately...it seems like things are beginning to fall into place. These are some pictures from the other day. It was mine and Geo's day off, so we wanted to do something lovely....brunch at Little Dom's in Los Feliz and an afternoon stroll/shopping day at the Americana. I had the best french toast ever at Little Dom's and I fully intend to go back there soon to try their other stuff. The Americana was a ghost town, which made the shopping experience a good one. I always seem to have the best luck at Free People's sale racks. Found a dress that used to be $180 marked down to $29.95. All in all, pretty spectacular day.
Thoroughly enjoying this rain....

More pics from the amazing birthday weekend I had with my friends. I promise this is my last birthday post...
Siera (my birthday twin and one of my best friends) celebrated her birthday the following evening at her favorite spot The Edendale in Silverlake. I had never been there before, and it's always so nice to discover new places. It's quite exceptional, from the aesthetic to the drinks to the photo booth-I had such a great time, and I hope she did too. Oh, and can I just say-best calamari I've ever had in my life.

The next day, Geo took me to Universal Studios to celebrate since I practically didn't see him at all that week due to conflicting schedules. Apart from a wonderful birthday morning when he made me my favorite breakfast (double chocolate chip pancakes), this was the only day we were both available to have some fun! We had the best time being there, with it being a ghost town. It makes me not want to go to a theme park in the middle of summer ever again.

I had an amazing start to my 26th. I just hope it keeps getting better from here.
