I slept over my parent's house last night, to see my sister perform in her high school talent show. The show itself was mostly lackluster, but she was absolutely amazing. She belted out Lady Gaga's Speechless to an auditorium filled wall-to-wall with people, who were just as enraptured by her performance as I was-sealing the deal was the standing ovation at the end of it. I was so overcome with emotion, that I started crying. I think it was because I had never seen my sister more confident than I had seen her last night. She always said I was the only one of the two of us who really had something in the performance area. But I always disagreed, and last night proved it.
The outfit is a little boring, I know. I was sorta channeling, who else, Olivia Palermo. And I figured out something...as much as I love Brogues, I just don't know if my body type looks ok with it. I feel like it shortens me. So I borrowed my sister's lavender Steve Madden ones for the evening. I guess perhaps if it was a different color of if I was wearing a dress, it would work better. What do you guys think?

I kind of feel the same way about brouges. I want them to look good on me, I am just not sure if they do!
I really love that blazer in that silky texture! Beautiful!
You are so beautiful.
Honestly sweetheart, this shot has to be one of the best you've had. You're actually glowing! I'm in love with your glasses, too bad my vision is -7.00 hahahaha - talk about coke bottles.
The brogues def work on you. I really like your glasses too!
That's so amazing about your sister! And you look so darling. <3
Hey girl! Thanks for the comment! I take most of my pictures near my home. I live just outside a city on a rural property so there is a lot of open, beautiful spaces!
Love your outfit by the way - you're a stunner!

my brogues are from Dune
lovely blog :)
The brogues look fabulous with this outfit! In general, lavender would be difficult to match with, but I love how you paired it in the pic.

Hello beauuuutiful! Love these shots and your face is pure heaven.
By the way, I get my hair done at this little hole in the wall salon called Fantasy. It's run by Asian ladies so they know how to get my stubborn hair nice and wavy. :)
