I had quite the eventful weekend with my girlfriends. First up, was Kristina's 25th birthday party at her apartment, followed by Page 71. I finally got to bust out my lace flared pants. It's quite a risque move-something I'm not used to wearing. But sometimes, I like to take chances when it comes to fashion. And Kris' party was the perfect opportunity to showcase it.

The following day was Danielle's bridal shower in the Pacific Palisades. It was such a relaxing vibe, filled with all things girly. D was glowing, and the food was spectacular. There's nothing like mimosas and brunch, especially when it's to celebrate one of my closest friends getting married. :)

All in all, such a fun-filled weekend. 

Set my soul on fire

Saturday night we gathered at Griffith Park for an evening of theatre under the stars. Seeing Shakespeare (done well) is like eating an amazing red velvet cake...slowly. It just gets better and better with each bite/scene. And my former professor/acting coach Melissa Chalsma who co-owns the Independent Shakespeare Company here in LA-also directed the show (Othello). If any of you love Shakespeare, and love to be entertained, whilst eating and drinking-you have to check this out. Next up for the month-Much Ado About Nothing. *Sigh* I miss performing. I wanted more than anything- to be up there on that stage alongside all of those talented people.

The Path Is Straight

My honey has been working on a musical- Sondheim's Into the Woods-for the past couple months, his last at CSUN. Last night, the long-awaited day too see it had arrived. Every time I'd hear him practicing around the house, the more excited I became. And last night, proved even more to me how lucky I am. He really is the most talented man I know, and is so deserving of everything. I'm gushing, I know but I can't help it. I was so proud last night-of him and my girl Danielle! The show was above and beyond everything I had ever seen. And I know I was in the last two prior musicals he directed (Tommy and Anything Goes), but as a whole, this is the best cast Garry Lennon's ever had.

The fam bam came with me last night, including my sister's friend Eddie, my girlfriend Reena, and my best friend Kate-so Geo had an amazing cheering section. Afterward, we went to Chili's to get some food in our starving bellies, and just hung around. It was a magical, perfect evening. I really can't wait to see the show again.
