Darling, stay close to me

In honor of starting a new job on the 19th with an amazing jewelry company, I decided to reward myself with something pretty. And no, my new job is not with Jewelmint. However, I have been eyeing the "Eros" earrings for quite some time now, and luckily for me they put it back in stock for those of us who couldn't have it the first go-around. I have never ordered and received anything so fast, and considering the shipping was free and ground-it was a total shock to find it in my mailbox in 4 days. Presentation was beautiful. Came in a mint colored box the size of my hand, with a ribbon tied around it. And inside were the earrings that I've been dying to own for months, along with a "note" from Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter (owners of Jewelmint) thanking me for my purchase and hoping I enjoy them. I have been wearing them constantly. Even when I'm just lounging in my apartment. They're just as beautiful in real life as they are in pictures. The craftsmanship is outstanding and has a very romantic but edgy look about them. My one gripe though? It's not a pair of earrings you can wear all day, unless you want your ears looking like a tomato. They're very very heavy, and can often cause discomfort to my delicate ears. Perhaps I'll get used to them.
All in all, Jewelmint is a fabulous jewelry company and I cannot wait to order from them again. I'll be posting pics of me wearing the earrings very soon. :)

This is the final part of our beautiful trip. It was spent relaxing at the beach (albeit very cold), eating delicious food, and exploring new places with my love. There's really nothing more I can say about those 4 days. They were definitely much needed, and I still reminisce about it constantly. Sometimes we joked about moving there. While that would be nice, we are very much dedicated to LA. But Santa Barbara has a huge place in our hearts now, and we're already excited to go back. Whenever that may be...Below is a video montage I made of our trip to the tunes of The Pierces. I hope you guys love it just as much as I do. xoxo

P.S. I know Coachella was weeks ago, but can I just say that I fall in love with Kate Bosworth more and more every time I see her. This was by far my favorite look from the music festival. So relaxed yet such a statement. I cannot wait to rock this on the 4th of July!

A blazing, burning star

Photobucket

Finally, finally, finally got the budget friendly version of these beautiful Isabel Marant booties I've been obsessing over for as long as I can remember. Kate Bosworth just always makes it look so easy. It's a quality I crave when I get dressed in the morning. The boots arrive tomorrow-whoo!

A little pack of fire

After months of careful deliberation, I finally found the PERFECT utility jacket, or field jacket, or army jacket. Whatever the name may be. I just love the rugged look it provides, while still being able to dress it up. I found it at GAP, on sale, and the moment I put it on I knew. I can't wait to wear it constantly during my trip, with all of my lacey tops and cut-offs.

A beautiful sight, we're happy tonight

My sister and Kate Bosworth share the same birthday: January 2nd.
Why is this important you may ask? Well, it's because Kate Bosworth and my sister are two people who inspire me on a daily basis with their style and charisma. As my sister gets older, she becomes more cooler and style savvy than I could ever dream about doing in my 25 years on earth. She's only 19, but she's stuck to her eclectic/edgy/grunge/bohemian look for as long as I could remember. I on the other hand, jump from style to style because well, I love playing around and taking chances-even if it sometimes doesn't work. I've noticed lately in my recent posts (apart from Christmas-which I must admit was truly inspired by Blair Wardorf/Black Swan) that my style has started to evolve in the more sophisticated/edgy route.  Recently, Kate Bosworth's street style has made me want to explore this route even further. I love seeing her in comfortable, shabby chic, clothes. Not always looking so put-together, but manages to still look great in the end. She's sort of become my style crush in a way. I've obsessed over countless outfits of hers in 2010, and has become a sartorial dream for me. Now, I'm not saying I'm going to go and dress like Kate Bosworth in the next year, but I have become immensely inspired by her.

So in honor of both their birthdays, I wore my gorgeous Topshop rhinestone embellished sweater (gifted to me by best friend, Kate) with my acid wash cords, and combat boots. Kate B. always seems to do the sweater/acid wash/boots combo constantly. But it was raining, and the look was so easy breezy-how I could I resist?
My sister's birthday was grand-filled with sushi and starbucks and walking in the rain. It was just a perfect perfect day. I love you seester!

American Woman

The Oscars of Fashion-The Met Ball-happened Monday night, and I meant to blog about it yesterday, but was too distracted with other things. So, before I forget...these were my absolute favorite looks from the evening.

Photobucket

Alexa Chung in Philip Lim
I liked it because she wore a tux basically. It was whimsical without going over the top. I absolutely adore the shoes!

Photobucket

Leighton Meester in Marc Jacobs
She had to rush from a film set and was very late so she didn't get to do the red carpet-or put on any makeup! She looks tired, but still very cute. I love the dress and the headband. I'm such a sucker for boho dresses! I love the surprise of sequins on the bottom.

Photobucket

Blake Lively in Marchesa
Everyone seems to diss Lively's decision to always want to flaunt her body when it comes to picking out red carpet dresses. But boy, if my body looked like hers-I sure as hell would be wearing that dress too! Haha!

Photobucket

Emma Watson in Burberry
She looked so ethereal and fresh! I could've done without the slit up the middle though. I can't to see what she wears for the HP7 premiere later this year!

Photobucket

Marion Cotillard in Dior
She looks like she just walked right out of the silver screen. Such a glamorous look. Can I please have this as my future wedding dress?!

Photobucket

Kate Bosworth in Valentino
My favorite of the evening...again. I think she was my favorite last year as well tied with Ashley Olsen's white frock. What a dream dress!

Fave Couples

Photobucket

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake both in Ralph Lauren
Apart from Justin's goofy grin, this couple always look so elegant on the red carpet. I love the old-hollywood style Biel's dress exudes.

Photobucket

Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson both in Calvin Klein
How can I not include one of my favorite, and most adorable couple in Hollywood?! I love the sleekness and coolness in both of them. They just looked so made for each other.  I sighed when I saw them.

Photobucket

Sienna Miller in Emilio Pucci and Jude Law in Unknown
My first freak out of the night...was when I saw these two back on the red carpet-together. It felt like 2004 all over again, at the height of their first romance. At first, when rumors started speculating that these two were back together, I was a little miffed because well Jude cheated on Sienna with a nanny. But as I saw more and more of them, I began to understand just how perfect they are for one another. And they definitely proved it at the Met Ball.

Until next year...oh how I dream to one day be invited to this...

Highways Flew By...

The Met Ball was the other night, and it always excites me to see what my favorite celebrity style muses were able to conjure up for the wonderful evening. My faves from the night.

Leighton Meester. There are a lot of people who think this deserves to be burned, but I think it exudes confidence beyond her years. I admire her for taking a risk. She looks gorgeous!

Diane Kruger. I wish I had a dress like this for Graduation. :)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kate Bosworth. I love the lacy-ness of the dress. It's very old hollywood glamour, and it fits her quite seamlessly.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Rachel Bilson. A huge improvement from last year's space suit/mermaid/thing. Teal has always been a good color on her. And even though the dress is a bit boring-she still pulls it off with ease.

Ashley Olsen-"OH shit!" That was my expression when I first saw her. I couldn't even believe it was her! The front looked so plain, but goddess-like at the same time. And then she turns around, and there it is! The design, the cut, the color-everything is just spotless!

*******

In other news, Anything Goes is over and done with. And of course, I am a little sad about it. Mainly because it'll probably be the last theatre show I do in awhile. Especially since I will be embarking on a more commercial/film career path. I've been doing theatre for a long time now, and there are aspects of it that I'll surely miss-but I feel like my look and subtle way of acting will definitely be more beneficial in film and tv. But I miss my cast already, and I will certainly miss CSUN. This is my last week of school...ever. It's a strange feeling.

Yesterday was Danielle's birthday, so we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot out on the hill.

I love them, and will miss them so much once I'm done. But as sad as that is-we know we'll be keeping in touch, and I will certainly come visit them in their shows as often as I can. Two weeks from today-I will be a bachelor's degree holder! Holy cow!

All of the Boys, and all of the Girls are beggin' to...

INSPIRATION FRIDAY

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Jessica Szohr in Lucky Mag. I love everything about this outfit. I especially want the floral corset top and the red sandals. Gorgeous. Very Spring.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Emma Watson. This makes me feel quite old. I remember when she was only 10 years old. And now she's traipsing around wearing corsets, and underwear in sexy photoshoots. I'm not going to lie-it's a little off-putting but she looks great, doesn't she? I especially like smearing of the makeup. Makes me inspired to do a similar photo shoot.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kate Bosworth. I've never really been a fan of hers-acting or otherwise. But during the promotional tour for Superman Returns, she wore this gorgeous dress to the UK premiere (I forget who it's by) and my jaw dropped to the floor. It seriously makes me want to tear a big scoop in the back of ALL my dresses.

T.G.I.F.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
