Such great heights

So we're moving in less than 15 days. Yet again. I know it shouldn't even feel like a chore anymore since we do it every year, but each year it comes-and it still brings me no joy. The only part I like is that we're moving back to the same exact place we were before, except in a completely different unit-with outdoor space for barbeques, entertainment, etc...I look at it this way- it's one step closer to owning our dream home in Pasadena. *Sigh* Hopefully (crossing my fingers) we'll be homeowners next year. What I'll really miss from our current place is my massive bedroom-sized walk in closet. Shoe library and all. I can't bear to think about it right now...I'll think about it tomorrow. 

This is what I wore to run errands today. I couldn't wait to break in my new Sam Edelman's. And you know what? I never knew the amount of attention one can get from wearing 6 inch platforms. We were in line at Chipotle today, and no joke 5 women literally almost dropped their tray of food from gawking at them. :-/  I know I'm really late in the game when it comes to these babies, and at first I thought I wanted the Zoe's. But I'm really happy I went with the Zoyla's. Studs are really more my thing anyway. I'm a happy happy girl. Next dream shoes: LOUBS! Yeah, right ;)

Working like a dog...

My work outfit for FASHION NIGHT OUT. Too bad the event itself was a bust, but this was one of my favorite work related outfits to date. I just felt very chic and elegant, but the headband makes it edgy at the same time. I got so many compliments, and jaws dropping once I told them I got it at Forever 21. 

Flying to Santa Cruz tomorrow to say goodbye to my baby sister. I'm going to miss her beyond belief. But I'm immensely proud of her, and can't wait to hear about her new adventures.

Just some of my fave looks from Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. Of course, it features the lovely Olivia Palermo, because I'm obsessed. I'm so excited she attended. I died over the Valentino numbers, especially the first one. It sorta reminds me of the dress I've been lusting over at work. Granted it's a much smaller, more manageable dress than the one she's wearing, but there's just something about it. I cannot wait to get it and show it to all of you. Anyway, just a sweet little post before work. Hope you like :)

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!! I know it's the 5th, but better late than never right? Besides, I had a pretty busy day yesterday, with work followed by the Independence Day festivities. Bestie decided to have it her house this year. When I got there, it was beautifully decorated in red, white, and blue. Their backyard was made for a bbq/mic night. It was a wonderful evening full of food, music, fireworks and friends. Exactly what I needed after a hard day at work. Speaking of...it's getting a lot easier, thank God for that. I'm getting used to all the paperwork and numbers. And I actually sold $600 worth of clothes yesterday-which apparently is really good for 4th of July. This is all very fascinating, I'm sure. But I have to keep track of my numbers in order to meet my goal for the month. So if any of you live in the LA area and want to help me reach it, just come by and ask for me! Plastic Made Dreams

Basic Black is what I've been living in for the past week. Wearing black is weird for me, because a. I hardly have any. And b. I love COLOR. But lately, every time I'm in the mall, the only things that jump out at me are black pieces. Who knew? 

The new job has been good so far. My co-workers far exceeded my expectations, and my boss is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. But, the job itself is hard. I thought coming into this that I would only be selling and styling clothes. I didn't know that I would be put in charge of the financial aspect and inventory for the store. Needless to say, I'm a little overwhelmed. I mean, I'm good with money and math, but not that good. I was assured by all of them that it'll get easier with time and practice. God, I hope so...all I've dreamt about for the past few days are numbers : /

Have you guys seen these pictures of Eva Mendes looking very Sophia Loren in the new W Magazine? She is smoldering. I mean, can I look like this every day for the rest of my life, por favor? Geez. 

This week has been a pretty eventful one for me. First off, the job hunt is over, and I am now a proud member of the Max Studio team! Isn't that exciting?! I start Monday. The only problem is, I have to wear all black to work, and after looking in my closet, I realized I have very little (like 2-4 pieces) of black clothing. Who knew? Looks like I'll have to get a few more tops and bottoms. But yeah, I'm super pleased and so ready to begin another adventure. 

On Tuesday, Siera and I had a park day. The weather was perfect for it, and it's always pleasant to just have a nice long chat with one of my best friends, and get lost in the lazy summer day.

Wednesday, the fam bam and I trekked over to Santa Cruz to visit my sister's future campus. I have to say, I underestimated how far the place really is. Made me even more sad for fall to come. But she seemed to really love it there. There's no denying-the campus is absolutely gorgeous. It's a good balance between beach and forest.
