I know I haven't blogged an outfit post in a long time. In all honesty, most mornings I just throw on the easiest and comfiest clothes I can find, and rush out the door. But I guess I wasn't expecting I would actually have subscribers, un-subscribe from me because of it. It was kind of a low blow to my ego. I guess I have to pick up the pace. I promise an outfit post will come soon. But for now, I leave you with some photos from the past week.

1.) Freshly curled hair for Valentine's Day
2.) Date with my Maeghan, at an amazing Ramen noodle restaurant which had the most delish iced green tea.
3.) Typical work day-Soy chai from Starbucks, Lana Del Rey playing, and finding Josh Hutcherson in my new ELLE.
4.) Free cream puffs
5.) Vday bestie date at Cafe Bizou. Had the yummiest salad!
6.) Me and my Valentine. Cheers!
7.) Their bread pudding is the best. I have dreams about it.
8.) Matching manicures and heart rings.
9.) Hubby's gift for me. New iPhone case!
10.) A late Valentine's Day dinner date with the love of my life at Gyu Kaku. Happy Hour!!

Hope you all had a beautiful Valentine's Day, filled with lots of love.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
My birthday dinner could not have been anymore perfect than it was. My best friend Kate had a handful of surprises up her sleeve, and it began the minute I walked into the restaurant. The whole table had been decorated by her fiance with pink boxes that contained cupcakes, bags of candy, and balloons! I was so shocked, I literally had to pause to take it all in as soon as I saw it. Her birthday gift to me was a Michael Kors watch I had been dreaming about for awhile, complete with engraving in the back. So touched. And finally, my birthday cake consisted of chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes, which she baked herself. Dessert also included an entire box of macarons, because she knows I'm obsessed. The whole evening was absolutely lovely, and I am so grateful to have her in my life. Looks like I gotta step it up for her birthday next year ;) xoxo

It was such an eventful weekend for me. I worked a lot, but in addition to that I celebrated both Danielle's bachelorette party at the Saddle Ranch and my mom's birthday the following day. It was so great to see Danielle having such a great time, and she looked so beautiful. I can't believe her wedding is in 2 weeks!
The next day, my family celebrated my mom's birthday at our favorite restaurant Cafe Bizou.  The food and service is so excellent, we always leave feeling incredibly satisfied. After lunch, we saw One Day. But I'm in the middle of reading the book, so I wasn't sure if I should see it yet- but I didn't want to be a party pooper, so I saw it anyway-and it was so beautiful. I didn't think I would cry, but I did. And it was acted amazingly by both Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway. I would definitely recommend it. And I can't wait to finish the book.

And...I'm sorry I don't have any great pics of my outfits. It's just been so hot outside- dressing has mostly been for comfort and cooling- and the last thing I want to do is stand around taking pictures in this heat. Hopefully, when September rolls around it'll get a little cooler.

Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend!

Love you madly

Hello lovelies. I'm sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It's been one helluva week, with work and play and all sorts of love. Valentine's Day came and went. We don't really celebrate it, because let's be honest-it's a hallmark holiday. Geo and I express our love everyday of the year.  Although, I do love eating all the chocolates...

A couple days later, we saw CAKE at the Troubadour. We had been waiting since Christmas for this night. Geo grew up listening to CAKE, and I grew to love them when we first started dating. I hadn't seen them live before, and boy was I IN LOVE! First off John McCrea-unbelievably handsome-but also absolutely brilliant. His songwriting and the way he performs, makes you want to watch them forever. I didn't want to leave. If you haven't heard any of their albums, this is the time to start. Their most recent release "Showroom of Compassion" is one of my favorites.

My parents also celebrated their 33rd anniversary. So I took them out to one of our favorite restaurants Cafe Bizou. It's really the best French American fare anywhere. And I wore my red pants again. It's become one of my faves. It's so bright and puts me in a good mood

My baby graduated magna cum laude from CSUN's school of theatre this morning. And although it rained (a complete 180 from last year's ceremony) everyone still came out to support. Including my family, who had to drive all the way from Monrovia at 6am just to make it in time for the 8am ceremony. Why they punish the theatre students by having it that early every year is beyond me. Not gonna lie...a few tears were shed for both Geo and my theatre friends who I have experienced so much with at that school. It was a very proud and rewarding moment for me. I really loved my graduation last year, even in the 100 degree heat-but you sure can't beat a short ceremony due to the prospect of a thunderstorm.

So how does one dress for something so eventful, and yet so wet? Well, I stuck with my original plan-my amazing H&M garden collection kimono dress, that I still hadn't worn. I knew the sun would come out eventually...that or the rain would cease. So as we were waiting for the wonderful brunch that we were about to dive into at Cafe Bizou-we decided to take some pictures outside. I just had to take advantage of the now wonderful weather. Brunch at Bizou, as always, was absolutely amazing. I ordered the same thing I did last year. And you really can't beat their top-notch service and selection of desserts. The only thing missing was my bestie twin because she had to work. But AJ got to represent for the both of them. :)

So thankful for today, and so happy for my babe. I love you, George. xoxo

Yesterday was my best friend Kate's birthday! Since everyone was in town, who originally couldn't make it to her birthday festivities, we decided to all go out to dinner tonight instead of next week. We'll just do something else next weekend, I'm sure ;) It was so nice to have a wonderful dinner, with great company, great wine, and spectacular food. The food at Cafe Bizou is always top notch, and I highly recommend it if you haven't already been. There's one in Pasadena and one in Sherman Oaks, which is the one we always go to. If you recall, Kate and I had our graduation brunch there with our families last May. The evening was definitely one for the books, and bestie seemed so happy. I love her so much. And I'm so blessed to have her in my life. Happy Birthday Kate! xoxo

P.S. About the dress...a total steal-got it for $15, and it's vintage, and it has pockets! What more could you want? love.
