It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like...

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I was lucky enough to have two Thanksgivings this year...These pictures were taken during the first half with my family. And unfortunately I didn't get a chance to snap some pictures over at my 2nd family. It was more of an intimate setting anyway, unlike the hustle and bustle of my parents' house. Let's just say we're a little more unconventional. My dad cooked lamb, salmon and we had shrimp cocktails as appetizers as opposed to turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce (It's okay- we had all that at his side). Although I love having the two Thanksgivings-I have to say I am very much looking forward to the year when we can combine our families and just have ONE big dinner. But all in all though, Geo and I had a great time filling our tummies up with delicious food, and enjoyed the company we had surrounding us. I was extremely thankful.

The next day, my family and I embarked on the treacherous journey that is Black Friday. The first Christmas shopping day for me. And this year we did it at the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica. Better than the mall right? Wrong! It was jam packed with tourists and moms with their toddlers. It was just a zoo full of people, and not a lot of room to walk around. I could barely breathe in most of the stores! It left me feeling exhausted and extremely disappointed. I'm just glad it's over. Perhaps, I'll skip out on Black Friday next year. lol.

Somebody To Love

I love Leighton Meester. I think she's a fairly talented actress, with a hit tv show under her belt. I love her fashion sense...most times. And I feel like she has potential of being a huge star one day...but she really, really, needs to just stick to acting.

In other news, I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving holiday! I know I will. Food coma and early Christmas shopping, here we come!

Come as you are...

So excited when I saw Rumi Neely of Fashiontoast wearing the sideways cross necklace I have! She actually got it from the same place I did, except she got it in the larger cross version, and Geo ordered the smaller cross for me. I'm quite obsessed with mine-I literally wear it everywhere! Such a standout piece. <3

I know everyone is going to see New Moon tonight, well I know at least 3 people who are. I'm mildly interested only because I read the books. But, not so much in seeing Kristen Stewart "act" for 2 hours. :/

I had an amazing half weekend with my family in Monrovia. Thai food, The Kitchen and shopping in Pasadena, and Starbucks at the crack of dawn. It was loads of fun, and obviously I always enjoy spending more time with my partner in crime aka Seester. Ain't she the coolest? Much cooler than me, that's for sure. ;p

P.S. I kinda sorta lightened my hair. It's hard to see, because I went from being jet black, so it's really difficult to change up, but right now, it's sort of a golden chestnut. I don't know if you guys can tell from the pics. To me, it doesn't look very different.

Some of my favorite looks for fall...

a. Leather (still looking for the perfect one)
b. Leopard ( and THE perfect leather jacket imo, but it's Rick Owens and costs more than my rent-therefore not possible)
c.) Boyfriend Blazer (I love that hers isn't black)
d. Sophisticated with bright colors (my ideal look for all family get-togethers this holiday season)

Sigh...xoxo

This is kinda late, but Friday morning, Geo and I attended an event for his work at Environment Furniture in West Hollywood. The party was hosted by EcoStiletto. Now, I never really attend work functions and especially when it comes to things I'm not really knowledgeable about, but it was really important to my babe that I be there-so I came. We're not exactly environmentally friendly people, but we do try-even though we're usually not successful. Let's just say this event was really important, because it informed us about a lot of things we didn't already know. I'm not saying I'm fully committed to this or if I ever will be frankly, but at least I'm giving it an open mind. What it boils down to is...I love our planet and would try to do anything to protect it, however, I cannot and will not stay away from meat/leather/etc...I can't go vegan. There's just no way. And actually some of the people at the event weren't, so it's definitely possible to be one without the other...The venue though, was outstanding. And we're not ones to fully furnish our entire house in green, but some of those pieces were definitely pluses in our book-like the one pictured above. All in all, the event was a success for my honey-and that's really all that mattered.

I'm sure by now, everyone in the fashion/style world should know about Taylor Jacobson. Not only does she have probably one of the most coveted jobs in the world, as Style Associate to the great Rachel Zoe, but she also has an impeccable sense of style. Sometimes, while watching The Rachel Zoe Project, I find myself lusting over most of her outfits over Rachel's. The thing is...I sort of a massive girl crush on Taylor. She can be a tad obnoxious sometimes, but I mean, everyone can be obnoxious. I just would mainly love to raid her closet...
However, for the past couple of months now I've sort of had my eye on, in my opinion, the most understated part of a woman's body-the hollow of her neck. Why? Because of that ridiculously beautiful sideways cross necklace she wears in every single episode! The first time I ever really noticed it-it was love at first sight! I couldn't believe how amazing it looked with everything she wore. And I've never really been into delicate jewelry (I'm into more chunky pieces) because I just never found anything I felt like I could wear everyday. This piece, I feel like I could definitely wear every day--for sure.
Which brings me to the point of this post...a couple of weeks ago, my honey and I were watching The Rachel Zoe Project and I mentioned the necklace to him. That I've been pretty much obsessing over it for awhile now, blah blah blah...today I received a package in the mail. And guess what it was?

I celebrated Halloween in style. First up, Friday night-we attended a pre-Halloween 40s themed party. Everyone was decked out in old-Hollywood glamour. And of course I couldn't miss it, since it is my absolute favorite period in time. It was so much fun and I couldn't even believe how amazing my vintage I.Magnin coat fit my outfit. It was just laying in the back of my closet! It turned out to be an incredibly perfect night.

The next night, HALLOWEEN, was another one of those perfect evenings. My best friend Kate invited me and my honey over to their house to have a relaxing night of scary movies, candy, and of course great food. It was definitely one of the best Halloweens I've had in a long time. And Geo and I felt so lucky to be able to experience it with Kate & AJ.

Hope you all had a great Halloween!

xoxo
