The People Stop and Stare at Us

My honey took me out for our anniversary last night, to one of our favorite steakhouses, Houston's. I had forgotten how absolutely satisfying it felt to have good steak. Was such a yummy dinner. I even treated myself to a hot fudge sundae :) Afterward we strolled along old town Pasadena for a little while, and had a utterly romantic time. I can't believe it's been this long, and I'm still so in love. I am truly truly happy...and lucky.

This was a couple weeks ago, but in honor of this weekend being the last weekend of summer (not for me-but for my honey and friends) I wanted to post these shots to make me savor it some more. I can't believe how fast this summer flew by. CSUN starts school on Monday and it's a little bittersweet for me. I'm happy to be done with college obviously, but sad about the crazy stuff I'll miss out on in the theatre dept. Oh memories...

Until next time Summer!
Bring on Autumn!

Yesterday Siera and I spent the day in Burbank. We've been waiting to see Time Traveler's Wife for a long time...so we thought it was about time. But before she came to pick me up, Geo and I did an impromptu photo shoot shown in the first two pics. I actually didn't end up wearing the red faux leather vest out, but I thought it just looked perfect with what I was wearing underneath. I made the shirt, by cropping a striped tee I bought from F21 a year ago. I thought it was time for a change.

As far as the movie itself...it was ok. I think I came into it with a lot expectations and came out a little disappointed only because I absolutely adore the book. I felt like the film was a bit rushed and didn't captivate the passion and the conviction that the main characters had for one another. I was really invested in their love...but not so much in the film. I still love Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams is just an amazing actress-but I just wish the script was a little better.

Although I gave the movie a B-, I still had a wonderful day. Plus I found a gorgeous leopard scarf at UO for $10, and...we ended up getting chinese for dinner. So all in all, it was a great day!

Um...yes, please!
When telling my hubby that I wanted this gorgeous Julie Mollo acid wash playsuit, he asked me how much it was. It's $250, plus shipping and handling...
In which case he concluded that it was far too much to spend on something so little.
He doesn't UNDERSTAND! Lol.
I'm so obsessed with it.

P.S. Sorry for the lack of outfit posts. I've just been milling around my apt. Not really anything too interesting to photograph myself in. But soon, I promise.

Sea of Love

Things I am totally diggin' right now...

1.) Leighton Meester looked so adorable at the Teen Choice Awards last night. Her Louis Vuitton dress and Brian Atwood shoes are perfect together. The look of flirty-fun is really great on her.
2.) Jeffrey Campbell pyramid studded boots. I love utilitarian boots, especially if they have a little bit of flair. But for $350-it's much too steep for my liking.
3.) Wolf dress from Motel. Gorgeous. I'm obsessed with anything wolf right now, so this would be perfect in my closet.
4.) Seeing Ashley Olsen on the cover of Marie Claire made me think of this wonderful editorial she did a couple years ago for Harper's Bazaar (?). This is one of my faves. I love how edgy and beautiful she looked in it. And using the cans as hair rollers? Genius!

Happiest day of my life...sorta. This was the day my parents surprised me with a Blackberry. My first real grown-up phone. I used to love tiny flip phones, but I now love my new blackberry more. It's sleek, it's pretty, it's pink-just like my laptop. I'm just obsessed with it.

Above is my sister...she's a real bad-ass. No really, she is. In fact she's created her own blog, finally. You can go follow her at Queen Victoria Reigns. It's going to be fantastic.

I know this is late, but last Sunday Siera and I attended the Blogger Shop Day II at Space15Twenty in Hollywood. It was such a freeing and absolutely incredible experience. Not only were there some great vendors there, but I felt sort of at home and at ease in my shopping endeavor because I knew that whatever I would find there would be one-of-a-kind. Although I had to pull myself away from a lot of sequined pieces (thanks to S-reminding me that I already have a couple of 'em) I didn't go home empty-handed. Instead, I went away with a AA acid-wash tee, a gorgeous blue lace headband, and a vintage Chanel flap purse...all for under $50!!! Needless to say, I was extremely ecstatic and cannot wait to blog my new purchases.

BSDII also made me think about possibly starting my own way to make money, by being creative with clothes and the flower headbands that I make. I think it could be a positive project for me to work on while I try and find a job. It was a great inspiration for me. And I can't wait to get started on it.

On other news...

Last night we trekked over to Santa Monica to see Danielle in a production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. She was absolutely wonderful in it. And it was so incredible to see her because it had been two months since we last saw each other. Two months too long, if you ask me! I missed her terribly. But hopefully now that she's done with the musical, we'll have more time to savor the summer. I love my friends!
