Carrie quote

This quote pretty much sums up my friendship with Kate. We always have a great time whenever we're together, and we know how important it is to invest time in the things that matter to us most. These are some of our pics from a trip to Venice Beach a couple of days ago. The last two were taken with her camera, and it does this amazing thing called "color capture." Anyway, it's brilliant, and we loved playing around with it. I also included a little vid for you all to see...so enjoy!

I love my girlfriends. I seriously have the best friends in the world. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the really good ones, but I think I've come to that point in my life-when I've become a really good judge of that. So, thank God, right? Anyway Siera, Danielle and I started the summer off right by going to Santa Monica and just having a girls day. It was so much fun and I miss them already. Siera will be in Minnesota for a month, and Danielle is working on a musical. Everyone is doing something but me. Lol. I'll find something to do here very soon. Thanks for the comments guys. And for all who were interested in the headbands-I will try my best to get that up and running shortly.

Also our apartment is finally coming together. I'm quite satisfied with how it looks. There is still a lot to be done, but for the most part-we're happy.

So I'm an official college graduate. I can't quite believe it myself. It hasn't hit me yet, that I no longer have to go back to school-ever. It's a scary situation to be in considering how difficult it is to find a job. But I have a to-do lists, and I intend on accomplishing everything on that list. So it was a very emotional, exhausting, incredibly hot day. But it was also such a rewarding feeling, of finally having this degree, and I loved that everyone I love was there for me. The hubby played photographer for the day, and all the pictures turned out really well. I was quite pleased. After the ceremony, my best friend Kate and I decided to have our brunch together at Cafe Bizou, with our families. It was an amazing time, and I was incredibly happy. Now, on to the rest of my life...

p.s. the flower headbands Kate and I are wearing were handmade by me. If any interest is shown, I might open up an etsy account to try and sell them to people who might want one. So please let me know.

Finally unveiling the $4 sequined tunic/dress I purchased awhile back. What do you think? I think it's pretty rad. I wore it to the Anything Goes cast and crew party last night, and man-was I sweating buckets. The dress, though absolutely gorgeous to look at-weighs a metric ton. I felt like I was getting a workout just by wearing it. Oh well. Sorry for the craptastic pictures lately. I've been doing them on my own, because Geo's camera needs to be charged. As far as what my babes had on last night...haha-meet his alter ego, Jimmy Staglioni. He's a tv salesman from Jersey. This went on ALL NIGHT! Anyway, it was fun, and a great way to celebrate the end of school for me. That's right-I'm done with school forever. It sure feels good. I can't wait to graduate on Tuesday. Expect a lot of pictures. :)

Yay, I'm back to the blogging world! To all who thought I had crawled under a rock and died-fret not-I will be blogging much more with graduation fast approaching. Right now, I'm taking a break from all of my video editing responsibilities and updating you all on what I did for my momma yesterday! We all met up at Il Fornaio in Pasadena-and it made me miss it even more. Geo and I are thinking about buying a house there, because it fulfills my need of city, and his need of small town, at the same time. Alas, that will probably be years away-but I like the the prospect of it. We got to sit outside which was incredibly pleasant, and the food was good. A bit overpriced for what it was, but the ambience and service was exceptional-so I guess it was worth it. Also it was the first time ever, since turning 21 that I had gotten carded! Especially with my family. That was strange...All in all it a great (but otherwise exhausting) day was had by all who were there. And I made out like a madman with all the cute things my dad got for me. Mostly graduation presents, but it was still really sweet, and I was incredibly grateful.

7 More days till I'm an official Bachelor's Degree holder.
P.S.-The pics in this post seem to be brick-themed. lol.

Highways Flew By...

The Met Ball was the other night, and it always excites me to see what my favorite celebrity style muses were able to conjure up for the wonderful evening. My faves from the night.

Leighton Meester. There are a lot of people who think this deserves to be burned, but I think it exudes confidence beyond her years. I admire her for taking a risk. She looks gorgeous!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Diane Kruger. I wish I had a dress like this for Graduation. :)

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Kate Bosworth. I love the lacy-ness of the dress. It's very old hollywood glamour, and it fits her quite seamlessly.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Rachel Bilson. A huge improvement from last year's space suit/mermaid/thing. Teal has always been a good color on her. And even though the dress is a bit boring-she still pulls it off with ease.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Ashley Olsen-"OH shit!" That was my expression when I first saw her. I couldn't even believe it was her! The front looked so plain, but goddess-like at the same time. And then she turns around, and there it is! The design, the cut, the color-everything is just spotless!

*******

In other news, Anything Goes is over and done with. And of course, I am a little sad about it. Mainly because it'll probably be the last theatre show I do in awhile. Especially since I will be embarking on a more commercial/film career path. I've been doing theatre for a long time now, and there are aspects of it that I'll surely miss-but I feel like my look and subtle way of acting will definitely be more beneficial in film and tv. But I miss my cast already, and I will certainly miss CSUN. This is my last week of school...ever. It's a strange feeling.

Yesterday was Danielle's birthday, so we decided to do an impromptu photoshoot out on the hill.

I love them, and will miss them so much once I'm done. But as sad as that is-we know we'll be keeping in touch, and I will certainly come visit them in their shows as often as I can. Two weeks from today-I will be a bachelor's degree holder! Holy cow!

In the past year, the lovely Danielle Ordunio-Palomares has been my go-to photographer, whenever I needed new pictures to add to my budding portfolio. She knows exactly what I want, and is super talented. She has shot me twice now, and I can't wait to schedule another shoot with her. For those who of you in Southern California, who need to get headshots/model pictorials etc...please visit her website. Everything you need to know is there.
