My friend, the always fabulous Richie, celebrated his 23rd with uniqueness and style last night-having a broadway musical themed birthday party. As actors, we jump on any chance to dress up and play with hair and makeup. Since Richie loves all things Sondheim, Geo and I decided to come as Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett. It was so much fun to be scary! And it wasn't even Halloween! Just the process of doing the hair and makeup for both of us, was just such an experience. It reminded me of doing shows, and I missed it quite a lot. So how did we do? Were we creepy enough for ya?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RICHIE! I hope it was everything and more! :) xoxo

On Sunday, I was blessed enough to be able to put my theatre degree to good use. I was asked about a month ago if I would be willing to teach a bunch of kids how to apply theatre makeup. I jumped at the chance, and above are some of the great pictures that were taken from that day-including a young girl who was eager to turn into a boy. It wasn't so successful because obviously little boys don't have 5 o'clock shadows, at least I hope not. But she was a trooper and I loved her for it. I also could not have done it without my best friend, Alli, who was my assistant for the hour-long presentation. I made her look like an old hag, and she didn't want to kill me afterward. Now, that's friendship! lol.

Afterward, we met up with my family to have a nice pizza dinner at The Kitchen in Pasadena. Never been, but I highly recommend it if you're ever in the mood for great pizza. Seriously, the BEST pizza I've ever had in my life.

Please excuse some of the weird pics of me. I was in a good mood that afternoon, and was willing to look like an idiot. Haha!

We belong together...

This is what I wore today. Please excuse the ham thighs, I usually don't wear shorts. But it was such a beautiful day. Only in L.A. do you get 85 degree weather in February. It's fantastic, unpredictable, and a little odd. But the weather is what inspired this outfit today. I found the boots just sitting in the back of my closet, looking beautiful. I love these boots to death. They're Randolph Duke and when my mother-in-law gave them to me last year-I think I screamed for about 10 minutes straight.

I have a massive headache, and I think it's because all I've had today is junk food. Boo. But Geo is in Tujunga tonight, and it's always nice when he has a client appt. there. It means...he brings home Tortas! Yes! Man, I'm hungers.

I have a meeting with the costume designer of the show I'm designing the makeup for tomorrow morning, and I have no clue what to ask her. So not prepared, whatsoever. Ugh!

Yes, for Monday nights. Gossip Girl and The City.
