She killed it with kisses

My idea of a perfect Sunday equals me spending the early morning/afternoon at the Melrose Trading Post and then having some lunch at Lemonade. As you can imagine, it was extremely crowded and extremely hot. I wish I could've taken more pictures, but I looked like such a hot mess that I refused to be taken photos of. Such as it is, Kristina, Kirstie and I got some really great, unique things while we there. And I was able to take a couple snaps of my outfit when I got home. :)

P.S. I accidentally changed the layout of my blog, and I absolutely hate it. And now I can't revert back to the way it used to be. Does anyone know how to center a header?

You've left me speechless...

These pictures were taken this past Sunday. Kristina and I ventured out to my favorite shopping destination-the Fairfax Flea Market. She had never been there before, and was super excited to see what all the fuss was about. Needless to say, neither of us were disappointed. I found a very cute, vintage polka dot dress, a leather jacket for the hubby, and Kristina found A LOT of things. Including a Karl Lagerfeld tee which I have to go back for as soon as I can go there, because I've been obsessing over it for the past couple days.
To refuel, we decided to go to Lemonade for lunch. We both had never been there- but it's been on my list of places to eat for a long time. So we thought, hey-why not? This place was a total win. Not only was the food healthy and exceptional, but it was also inexpensive and they have $1 cupcakes! I wish I had gotten 2! Anyway, that's definitely a place I would love to take George one of these days. Another plus from the trip? We saw Nora Zehetner-a super adorable Indie actress who was in Brick with Joseph Gordon Levitt (among other films). Yes, she was just as beautiful in person-perhaps even more so.

On other news...rather really upsetting news...I just found out my old school is doing not one but TWO musicals for their upcoming season. One being Cabaret! I think I cried for about an hour when I found out. Perhaps, this is a little dramatic...but since Cabaret is the reason I fell in love with musical theatre, and it's a song I had been singing since I was 5-it's only fair, I get to throw a tantrum. Sigh. Oh well, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be...and I can't do anything else about it. But to prove to myself that I would make a perfect Sally Bowles, I'll just have to watch this video over and over and over...

Yeah Yeah Yeah's Hysteric has been on constant repeat in my head. I've been kinda obsessed with the album ever since my honey got it for me. But that's beside the point...the point is-I've abandoned you guys for awhile. But it isn't my fault...you see I've kinda been celebrating my birthday about 50 times for the past two weeks. The last of it though, happened last Saturday. It was actually supposed to be a dinner party at my bestie's house, but things beyond both of our control happened out of the blue, making it difficult for her to host it. Therefore, so many changes had to be made last minute. But all of my friends are so great and flexible and were all able to attend, without hesitation. So there was a dinner party at Wokcano-which is one of my fave Asian Fusion restaurants-and then a drinks/kickback afterward at one of my other bests, Siera's house. I love my best friends, for being so willing to open up their homes for me at the drop of a hat.

I have to talk about the dress though...it takes me awhile to pick the perfect dress. So about a month ago (yes, a month) I had Siera and Danielle come shopping with me to help me out. We went to Melrose and into this little store called Bliss. Everything was exceptional-there were so many options to choose from, and this dress was actually not one of the ones I fell in love with right off the bat. But as soon as I tried it on-it kind of became...the one. And I will forever feel indebted to both S and Danielle for convincing me to get it, because I'm kind of in love.

Hope you guys enjoy my birthday pics!!! And I want to thank everyone who celebrated it with me!

Saturday Night. Two parties...one evening.
First up, Josie 24th Birthday at Lala's on Melrose. Greatest Argentinean food I've ever had. It's just good food in general. And it was super sweet when her boyfriend came out with the cake he baked all on his own. That was good cake! I wanted 2nds but I didn't want to look like a heffer. Geo and I had a great time. A couple hours later, my best friend's housewarming party. I still can't believe they're homeowners. I'm so proud of her, and the house looked FANTASTIC! Plus, I got to meet all of her friends finally, and we just had an amazing time with everyone. Two great parties.

I'm having major GG withdrawals. I wish tv shows were year round.

Ooh, also cannot wait for this...
