As most of my faithful readers know, I just celebrated a birthday. My 24th birthday in fact...I am now in my mid-twenties. And although that doesn't really please me, because I feel I haven't yet accomplished much in my life-I am also really anxious to find out what this year has in store for me. I feel like I'll accomplish my biggest goal this year, and dang-it if I don't-I'm going to have a very disappointing 25th birthday.

I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday twice this year, and an upcoming dinner party (so 3 times!) has got me all a flutter! On Sunday, my family took me out to the Americana, which I noticed has sorta become our go-to place for birthdays and whatnot. I like it and all, but I think I'm going to want a break from the place for awhile. We ate at Cheesecake Factory, which was my pick because I thought I would be having cheesecake. But I ate too much of the bread, that by the time my shrimp pasta came around, I only had about 4 bites of it before I called it quits. Therefore, I didn't have any cheesecake. Oh well, besides I wasn't liking the vibe of our waiter at all. He was drooling all over me, kept calling me "beautiful" which didn't please my dad very much. Sometimes, I wish guys would be more observant and noticed the ring on my finger! Hello?! But other than that, I was very happy to see my family and especially my sister. Only she could pull off acid-wash skinny jeans, and bright red, old-man loafers!

The next day, on my actual birthday (I share a birthday with one of my bests, Siera, who makes appearances on the blog fairly often) I got a red-orange manicure to go with my mustard color dress for my birthday dinner. Kate, AJ and my honey joined me at Ketchup in West Hollywood, and while the food and decor were something to write home about, I was none too pleased with the service. I think everyone was pretty satisfied with their food though, and I love my best friend for surprising me with a bottle of champagne! I was extremely happy with the evening, and feel so blessed to have such wonderful, beautiful friends to share it with.
